NEW DOCTOR’S SECTION
The relaunch of the WH Coronavirus microsite as the ‘source of truth’ includes a section specific to Doctors at Western Health. Within this section information and resources can be found relating to COVID-19 information, Personal Protective Equipment and Wellbeing. Throughout this week further information will be released within the Education, Training & Resources and FAQ tabs. The site will be continuously updated as new resources are developed.
RESPONDING TO FAMILY VIOLENCE DURING COVID-19
Evidence shows that family violence can become more frequent and severe during periods of emergency, with some hospitals reporting higher identification rates of family violence at this time. Information has been provided for staff working with patients who disclose family violence during COVID-19. Family violence information will also be shortly added to the Working at Western Health part of the site.
CRITICAL CARE REFRESHER TRAINING
Staffing our intensive care and critical care units is a key priority of our COVID-19 surge planning. We can provide immediate training – both supervised and online – for appropriate candidates to be upskilled and retrained to work in this environment.
