As we approach the Easter long weekend period I would like to advise that we have increased the provision of various clinical services as outlined below to ensure that we continue to provide timely care to our community over this period:
- Additional emergency surgery sessions have been scheduled over the weekend
- The frequency of rounding of senior decision makers in our acute and subacute wards has been increased to ensure that we continue to provide timely care and discharges
- Our transit lounge at Sunshine Hospital will be operational for the four days of the long weekend
- Pharmacy services will continue to operate across the four days
- Medical Imaging will operate at weekend hours over all four days with the exception of Ultrasound Imaging which will be available 09.00-1700 at Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals for the four days of the long weekend
- There will be an increase in allied health services over the long weekend including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Podiatry and Social Work at Sunshine, Footscray and Williamstown Hospitals
- Interpreter Services – phone service available all four days 1300 739 731.
