The dulcet and nostalgic tones of the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child filled the room of the Paediatric Allied Health (PAH) team’s 90’s themed banh mi lunch.

The Paediatric Allied Health team have adapted and adjusted to their ways of working, with most of their work being completed remotely via telephone and telehealth. Many multidisciplinary clinics have been put on hold temporarily, with some teams taking on additional clinical roles within the hospital.

Occupational Therapists, Leanne and Steph organised the shared lunch for their fellow colleagues as this was something that brought a lot of joy to the PAH team pre-COVID times.

Staff who attended the lunch also requested a song from the 90’s era which was added to a Spotify playlist, ‘PAHS 90s Lunch’

‘It was great to share in the nostalgia as a group and for the younger members of our team, educate them on the superior talents of the Backstreet Boys,’ Leanne and Steph said.

The team lunch was also joined by a number of Grade 1 staff who were redeployed due to COVID 19.

Speech Pathologist, Louise who was redeployed to the Public Affairs Department described the lunch as a ‘fun way to reconnect with the PAH team and a great opportunity to learn all about the 90’s favourites such as George Michael and S Club 7.’

And of course, the timeless wisdom of the Spice Girls was taken on board, “Gotta slow it down baby, gotta have some fun!”
