Wellbeing and Support for Allied Health Therapies

Supervision

At this time of a lot of uncertainty and rapid changes, we need now, more than ever, to maintain our support structures which includes supervision. While the delivery of supervision in its usual form may not be possible, it’s still important to support each other, share information and ensure the ongoing delivery of best care.

Current Expectations

  • Supervision remains a required aspect of our work
  • Short regular sessions may be more practical than longer ones (e.g. 10- 15mins per week instead of an hour per month).
  • Some group supervision may also be appropriate, if clear expectations for all group members are established. Consider taking 10 minutes to do this at the start of each session to ensure clarity
  • Continue to document supervision activity. Please find record sheets and supervision agreement here.
  • Undertake supervision via Zoom where possible, and please ensure you maintain physical distancing.
