Today marks a significant milestone, with the relocation of Sunshine Hospital’s Emergency Observation Unit (EOU) to Ward 1B. The transfer of patients to 1B Short Stay Unit began at 1.15pm. Recommissioning a hospital ward in a matter of days is a massive undertaking and I thank everyone involved.
At Footscray, new admissions to Ward 3B stopped on Friday and it will be reduced to a 20-bed ward at one end of the physical layout. On Thursday, Footscray’s EOU will be moved to the other end of 3B and be called 3B Short Stay Unit and have a 20-bed capacity.
