Vaccination Hub Bulletin – 8 March 2022

March 8, 2022

Dear colleagues,

A quick update from me this week on COVID-19 vaccination.

Mandatory vaccination reminder for staff members eligible for third dose after 12 January

If you are a Western Health staff member who is eligible to receive their COVID vaccine third dose after 12 January and before 29 March and you haven’t yet provided evidence of a) receiving your third dose at a site other than Western Health or b) a medical exemption, please complete this survey so that we can update your records, enabling you to continue to work.

For medical exemption, you must provide either the immunisation statement or COVID vaccination certificate available from MyGov as evidence. If your medical exemption is not on your COVID vaccination certificate, please provide a medical certificate.

If you have provided evidence to Western Health in the past 36 hours, there is no need to complete this survey.

Third doses for staff are available at the following locations this week:

  • Williamstown Hospital: Thursday 10 March, 9.30am-3.30pm
  • Footscray Hospital, Mavis Mitchell Room: Friday 11 March, 9am-3.30pm.

Department of Health attitudinal survey on COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5-11

The Victorian Department of Health has launched the first statewide survey of parent and guardian attitudes and perceptions towards COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5-11 in Victoria.

The data gathered in this survey will be used to inform pathways and resources that support parents and guardians to make decisions about COVID-19 vaccines and vaccination services for 5-11 year olds.

All parents or guardians with 5-11 year old children are invited to complete the survey, regardless of whether their children have or have not been vaccinated.

The link to complete the survey is available here or via https://dhhschange.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_d4ncDp5KSx8GnlA.

The survey will be open until 5pm on 17 March 2022.

Completion of the survey is voluntary. The survey is entirely confidential, and all data will be treated confidentially and handled in accordance with the Department of Health Privacy Statement.
