OTs thankful for masks

September 9, 2020

Staff in our Occupational Therapy team have shown their appreciation for the reusable face masks sewn by Western Health volunteers and the Vietnamese community.

More than 3000 masks were collectively made by WH volunteers and the Vietnamese community. Following the announcement of mandatory face coverings being required when leaving home, the cloth masks were distributed across the organisation for use when travelling to or from work.

Daniela Veljanovska, Occupational Therapist, wrote to our volunteer team to show her appreciation.

“Thanks for the face mask made from our thoughtful volunteers. I really love the mask and it’s really convenient before I get to work,” Daniela wrote.

Other staff have also found the masks very useful while walking and grocery shopping. We’re very fortunate to have the support of the Vietnamese community and our volunteers.
