In the last 24 hours, I have received many messages of appreciation for the words and presentation by our Intensive Care Services Operations Manager, Kylie Fisher, who spoke so eloquently at the Health Minister’s COVID media conference on Monday.
Kylie was the most outstanding representative for our organisation and the way she conveyed the challenges our staff faced during the second wave last year, was deeply moving. Her message was strong and direct – that she didn’t want to have to ask her Critical Care Outreach team to stand up again – to do it all again. She was emphasising the reality of COVID and the need for everyone of us to take it seriously.
I have no doubt that Kylie’s message will have resonated with thousands of people after it was shared very widely indeed across multiple TV news channels and on social media.
Thank you Kylie – you made a significant contribution. Click on the link below to hear Kylie speak.

Tomorrow Wednesday 1 Sept at 2pm, I will be leading a COVID specific webinar alongside our highly articulate head of Infectious Diseases, Dr Marion Kainer. You will once again have the opportunity to hear from Marion as she provides her incredibly well informed assessment of where things are at and what might lie ahead.
I encourage you to watch the presentation and ask questions and if not possible to do so live, then please do view the session when we publish it on this site soon afterwards.
The link for the webinar tomorrow is here.

Russell
